About
LAIA is a research lab, consultancy and company builder focused on urban planning, infrastructures, construction technologies and smart city, to sustain our society beyond the 21st century.
LAIA was founded by the internet entrepreneur Jordi Muro, and the architect Gabriel Muñoz Moreno based on an original idea of the architect Carlos López Oros, with the purpose of facing the demographic, ecological and technological challenges in the human settlements of this century.
We have offices in New York and Barcelona, where we carry out our research and consulting areas. We have a venture capital branch based in San Francisco and an international platform to support sustainable urban development: SuM Forum.
LAIA is formed as a PBC, a specific type of corporation that focus on public benefit as a fundamental goal.
